Pet Memorial Portrait FAQ
A pet memorial portrait begins with a photograph you treasure. These answers explain how to choose a reference image and how to commission a remembrance piece for yourself or someone close to you.
Can you create a memorial portrait of a pet who has passed away?
Yes. We create custom pet memorial portraits from the photographs you treasure, preserving the features, markings and expression that make your companion recognizable. All five portrait styles can be chosen for a remembrance piece. Explore our Pet Memorial Portraits collection to find a style that feels right for them.
Can you work from an older photograph?
An older photograph can work when the face, eyes and important markings are clear enough to guide the portrait. Please send the original digital file or a clear scan if you have one, along with any useful extra photographs. If you only have a small, faded or blurry image, contact us before ordering so we can review whether it gives us enough detail.
Can I order a pet memorial portrait for a friend or family member?
Yes. A portrait of a much-loved cat, dog or other companion can be a thoughtful pet loss sympathy gift. Choose a photograph and style the recipient would value, and consider whether they would prefer to be involved in choosing the artwork. If they would like time to decide, our Pet Portrait Gift Card lets them choose their own style and photograph when they are ready.
Can I give a portrait for a birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day or Father's Day?
Yes. Each custom portrait is created from the recipient's pet photograph and can make a personal gift for a birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day or an adoption anniversary. Choose a style they would enjoy and check the product's available formats and current production information. A gift card is a flexible option if you would prefer them to choose.
